Templi product update: July week 3

Every week, Templi gets better at the work advice teams do every day. This is our July week 3 update.

This release improves document chat, the editor, Word previews, table layouts, and export reliability. The common thread is simple: making it easier for advisers and paraplanners to review work confidently, keep reports close to the firm's standard, and spend less time fixing formatting after export.

More efficient draft editing

Follow-up edits in document chat are now more accurate and more efficient.

When an adviser or paraplanner wants to refine a suitability report or client file after the first draft has been produced, Templi can now make those changes without repeatedly re-reading large parts of the document.

That should make edits feel more responsive and more stable, especially during the final review stage where small changes need to be made carefully. For advice teams, it helps keep the review process moving without turning every small amendment into a full re-check of the whole file.

A calmer chat experience while Templi works

The chat interface now keeps background working details out of the main conversation.

Users still get visibility over the work in progress, but the main review flow is cleaner and easier to follow. That matters when someone is checking a report, asking for a specific change, or reviewing how Templi is moving from generation into editing.

For advisers and paraplanners, the benefit is less operational noise on screen and a clearer conversation around the document itself.

A redesigned editor with side-by-side Word preview

We have redesigned the document editor and brought back a more familiar Word-style ribbon.

Users can now preview the Word output alongside the live document, making it easier to check how a report will look before export.

This helps paraplanners and reviewers spot layout or formatting issues earlier, make changes with more confidence, and reduce the amount of correction needed after a file has been downloaded.

For firms with established client-facing report templates, this is an important part of keeping the reviewed version in Templi close to the document that gets sent on for approval or client sharing.

Better vertical alignment in table-based layouts

Table cells now support vertical alignment controls, including theme defaults and inline editing.

This is useful in structured report sections where icons, headings, or short blocks of text need to line up neatly inside a table layout.

That alignment is also preserved in Word export, so the version reviewed in Templi stays closer to the version sent on for approval or client sharing. For advice teams, it means fewer small formatting fixes in the sections of a report that are meant to look structured and consistent.

More reliable paragraph spacing in Word exports

We fixed an issue where themed paragraph spacing could be lost or altered during Word export.

For firms with precise client-facing report templates, spacing is part of the standard. This update helps exported documents stay closer to the reviewed version in Templi.

The result is a more faithful handoff from editor to export, with fewer manual formatting corrections needed afterwards.

Smaller improvements behind the scenes

We have also made smaller improvements to generation flows.

Templi is now more reliable at starting from the right drafting step before applying later edits. This helps keep report creation on track from the first pass, especially when working from files or more open-ended instructions.

These updates are part of our ongoing work to make Templi more reliable in the everyday report workflows advisers and paraplanners depend on.
